Concept Design Journey
Process Outline
1. Initial Consultation
Our process begins with a friendly conversation to explore your needs, preferences, and budget. During this session, we will discuss your project goals and start defining your garden’s style.
2. Site Visit & Brief
Following the consultation, we visit your garden to assess the existing features and to understand specific challenges and opportunities your garden offers.
3. Concept Design Development
After accepting our brief, we arrange a site assessment which includes checking the soil type, taking photographs of the area, measurements of the garden as well as noting the key aspects and existing features that you would like to retain.
We then prepare the Concept Design, a 2D plan view of your garden with key features prepared using computer aided design software. Each Concept Design includes one complimentary change. 3D illustrations of your proposed garden design are an additional option to help you visualise the finished result.
4. Revisions & Refinement
After reviewing the concept, we work with you to refine and finalise the design, ensuring it aligns perfectly with your vision and requirements.
5. Additional Services
Once the concept design is complete, there is the option for a Master Plan with detailed drawings, dimensions, and materials. As part of the Master Plan, we can provide a Planting Plan with recommended plant species tailored to your garden's conditions. We can assist with plant sourcing, construction drawings, and a fully coordinated project management service to bring your design to life.
Consultation
Following our informal chat, our designer will arrange an in-person meeting (30 min - 1 hour). This is a detailed discussion to establish your ultimate wish list, take some basic measurements and do a basic assessment of the area to produce a brief. The brief helps to confirm your priorities and budget before starting the Concept Design.
Planting Plans
As an optional extra, our detailed planting plans carefully select plants according to your your garden’s position and soil type and preferred colour palette.
Plant sourcing
Another optional extra, our plant sourcing service, including delivery, positioning and planting, is available where required.
We pride ourselves in working with and recommending small, reputable businesses. As such, we like to support local, independent nurseries as much as possible.
